About
Retirement money, one piece at a time
Mo-saique explains how retirement income works in the UK: the State Pension, workplace and private pensions, the tax that attaches to them, and the help available alongside them. Each article takes one rule and sets it out with the official figures.
Sponsored information, clearly labelled
Mo-saique is published as sponsored content by N&V Accounting OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 11660567). Full company and contact details are on the imprint.
This website is not operated by or affiliated with the Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue & Customs, GOV.UK or any other government body. Where we cite an official rule or figure, we link to the page it comes from.
How the articles are written
- Official figures, named and dated. Rates are the official published figures for the year stated, and every article lists its sources. Where we do arithmetic on an official figure, it is labelled as an illustration and its assumptions are given.
- No personal calculations. We cannot work out what any individual is entitled to. Only DWP, HMRC, a council or a pension scheme can confirm a personal position, and we say so.
- The conditions stay in. Most confusion about pensions comes from a headline figure without its conditions. We keep them, even when it makes an article longer.
- Everything is free to read. No article is shortened or held back behind a sign-up. The Tuesday Tide is optional and asks only for an email address.
Articles carry the byline “Mo-saique Editorial”. We do not invent named authors or testimonials.
What this site does not do
- It does not take applications, make claims on anyone’s behalf or charge fees.
- It does not sell, broker or recommend financial products or providers.
- It never asks for National Insurance numbers, bank details, or Government Gateway or GOV.UK One Login details.
- It does not give regulated financial advice. For a personal recommendation, use an adviser authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority; for free guidance, MoneyHelper and Pension Wise.
Corrections
Rates change every year, and we would rather fix a figure than leave it wrong. If something looks out of date, write to info@mo-saique.com with the page and, if possible, the official source.
